The Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land was founded on February 15, 2010 as a new Commonwealth project named The Kingdom Of Grant Island by King Terrance. of the states that He his King of the Overseas Terrorises of The Kingdom of Grant Island were moved to The control of The Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land has a The Special Administrative Region of the The Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land on the 16th February 2010 the Kingdom of Grant Islands Bank and Amend Forces were also placed under the control of The Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land.

The Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land is a personal union is the combination of five states that have the same monarch while their boundaries, laws, and interests federation and a unitary state, a central (federal) government spanning all member states exists, with the degree of self-governance distinguishing the two. Marie Byrdians are ruled by a mostly-benevolent King, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

There are two types of Membership of The Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land 

  • Commonwealth realm - A Commonwealth realm is a sovereign state in which Sovereign of The Kingdom of Grant Island is the reigning Monarch and are Autonomous Communities within the Kingdom of Grant Island Empire, equal in status, in no way subordinate one to another in any aspect of their domestic or external affairs, though united by a common allegiance to the Crown, and freely associated as members of the Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land.  An Micronation that has The Sovereign of the Kingdom of Grant Island as Head of state will automatically join the Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land has a Commonwealth of Marie Byrd land realm and will follow Guidelines set out in this and any other act and Letters Patent for Commonwealth of Marie Byrd land and its realms.

  • A special member was a member of the Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land - A special member was a member of the Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land whose participation was limited in certain functions it is a status held by newly joined micronations, but A special member are not invited to attend Council of Prime Ministers of Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land Meetings or have Voting rights with in the grate Council of the Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land. They are, although limited in these respects, still considered members of the Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land.  A Micronation wishing become A special member should Accept the Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land principles and Demonstrate a commitment to democracy, the rule of law, good governance, and protecting human rights and equality of opportunity. The Use of Welsh, English, Spanish, Dutch, German as the languages of Commonwealth relations and Recognize the Sovereign of The Kingdom of Grant Island as Head of the Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land
