☢️ 1945 — The Atomic Bomb Falls on Hiroshima

On 6 August 1945, the United States dropped the atomic bomb “Little Boy” on Hiroshima, Japan, during the final stages of the Second World War.

The devastating explosion killed tens of thousands of people instantly, with many more dying in the months and years that followed because of injuries and radiation exposure.

The bombing remains one of the most significant and debated events in modern history and played a major role in the events that led to Japan’s surrender.
