Our History
Real Terryo was founded on January 13, 2012, by Terry Begley, Terry Davies, and Lee Ellery with a shared ambition: to use the power of the internet to connect people, share ideas, and make the world feel a little smaller.
From the beginning, our vision has been built around the belief that digital platforms can bring communities together, break down barriers, and allow people from different backgrounds and countries to discover, learn, and engage with the world around them.
Our journey started with online services and the launch of Real Terryo Radio, a platform combining music, entertainment, and international news. Designed to offer something different from traditional broadcasting, Real Terryo Radio created a space where listeners could enjoy great music while staying connected with global events.
In February 2012, we expanded our services with the launch of Sport @ Real Terryo, bringing sports content to audiences through predictions, analysis, and updates covering major sporting events including the Premier League, EFL Championship, Six Nations, Rugby World Cup, and WWE events.
In 2018, Real Terryo Radio entered a new era by transitioning into a podcast-led platform. This transformation allowed us to develop deeper conversations and explore important topics affecting people around the world.
This evolution saw the creation of our flagship podcast, Around the World Today, which explores international news, politics, transport, society, history, culture, and global issues through detailed discussions and analysis.
Alongside Around the World Today, we developed additional podcast projects covering entertainment, comedy, disability awareness, social issues, and real-life stories, reflecting our commitment to creating content that informs, entertains, and connects people from all walks of life.
Today, Real Terryo Group continues to grow as a digital media organisation creating content across podcasts, online publishing, and social media platforms.
