Hello and welcome to the sports blog for May 2021. In this blog we will look at the sports that we have covered along with my own views. We will then tell you what we will cover next month.
Premier League
Fulham and West Bromwich Albion have been relegated to the Championship. Manchester City have won the Premier League. Leicester City beat Chelsea 1-0 to win the FA Cup. Roy Hodgson has announced he will be leaving as Crystal Palace manager at the end of the season when his contract expires. Sam Allardyce as announced he will be leaving as West Bromwich Albion manager at the end of the season. Nuno Espírito Santo as announced he will be leaving as Wolverhampton Wanderers manager at the end of the season. Manchester United lost 11-10 to Villarreal on penalties in the Europa League Final. Sheffield United have announced Slavisa Jokanovic as their new manager. Chelsea beat Manchester City 1-0 to win the Champions League.

Sky Bet Championship
Norwich City have won the Championship. Hull City have won League 1.
Peterborough United have been promoted to the Championship.
Northampton Town and Rochdale have been relegated to League 2.
Southend United have been relegated to the National League. Sheffield
Wednesday, Wycombe Wanderers and Rotherham United have been relegated
to League 1. Cheltenham Town won League 2. Cambridge United and Bolton
Wanderers have been promoted to League 1. Brentford beat Swansea City
2-0 in the Championship Play-Off Final to win promotion to the Premier
League. Blackpool beat Lincoln City 2-1 in the League 1 Play-Off Final
to win promotion to the Championship. Morecambe beat Newport County
1-0 after Extra Time in the League 2 Play-Off Final to win promotion
to League 1.
Formula 1
Lewis Hamilton won the Portuguese Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton won the
Spanish Grand Prix. Max Verstappen won the Monaco Grand Prix.
WWE
They held their WrestleMania Backlash PPV which was ok. They released a few NXT Superstars. They have announced that they will be going back to live shows in July. They have released more staff this time from the backstage teams. Adnan Virk as left after just one month as the Raw lead announcer he has been replaced by Jimmy Smith. They have released Tom Phillips who has worked on every show they do. They have started announcing matches for their next PPV WWE Hell in a Cell. They have released more superstars this time form NXT including Velveteen Dream, Alexander Wolfe, Jessamyn Duke, Vanessa Borne, Brandi Lauren, Kavita Devi and Ezra Judge.
All Elite Wrestling (AEW)
They have continued their weekly shows. They have announced a new
weekly show called AEW Rampage starting in August. They held their
Double or Nothing PPV which was good again crowning new Champions.
They have signed former WWE wrestler Mark Henry which was a big
surprise.
