Lando Norris produced a brilliant performance at Zandvoort on Sunday to win the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix, securing back-to-back Formula 1 victories after a dramatic race that included a major strategy battle and a fierce fight with Mercedes youngster Kimi Antonelli.
The McLaren driver started from pole position but had to fight hard for victory after the race was interrupted following a heavy crash involving home favourite Max Verstappen.
🏆 Norris Takes Another F1 Victory
Norris looked in control from pole position, but the race changed dramatically after Verstappen crashed shortly after the start.
The incident brought out a restart, and Antonelli used the opportunity to move ahead of Norris in his Mercedes.
However, Norris remained patient and eventually made his move on lap 54 of 72.
The McLaren driver went around the outside of the first corner to pass Antonelli before then taking the lead from Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton later on the same lap.
Norris then managed his tyres and held on through the closing stages to claim another important victory.
Speaking over team radio after crossing the finish line, Norris made it clear that the championship fight remains firmly in his sights.
The victory gives Norris consecutive Formula 1 wins and strengthens his position at the front of the championship battle.
🥈 Antonelli Impresses
Kimi Antonelli continued to demonstrate why he is regarded as one of Formula 1's rising stars by finishing second.
The Mercedes driver had the pace to challenge Norris during the race, but ultimately could not hold off the McLaren.
Antonelli's result was also influenced by Mercedes' strategy decisions, which created tension within the team.
His teammate George Russell was instructed to move aside, allowing Antonelli to maintain second place after Mercedes' strategy gamble failed to produce the desired result.
Antonelli later questioned the team's strategy, describing it as too risky.
🥉 Russell Completes the Podium
George Russell finished third to complete the podium for Mercedes.
There was some frustration during the race over the team's decision to prioritise Antonelli, but Russell ultimately accepted the decision and said Mercedes had made the right call to avoid the two drivers fighting each other while Hamilton was closing in.
Lewis Hamilton finished fourth for Ferrari, narrowly missing out on the podium.

Verstappen's Home Race Ends in Disappointment
It was a particularly disappointing afternoon for Max Verstappen and the huge number of Dutch supporters who had travelled to Zandvoort.
The Red Bull driver crashed into the barriers on the opening lap in damp conditions, bringing the race to a halt for around 30 minutes.
Verstappen was unhurt, but his home Grand Prix ended in frustration.
The result was particularly significant because the Dutch Grand Prix is set to leave the Formula 1 calendar after the 2026 season.
Instead of seeing their home hero celebrate, the Dutch fans watched Norris and his orange McLaren take victory.

🔥 Sport @ Real Terryo Verdict
Lando Norris continues to build momentum at exactly the right time.
A victory at Zandvoort, following his previous win, shows that McLaren remain a major force and that Norris is firmly involved in the championship battle.
Behind him, Antonelli's second-place finish is another indication of Mercedes' potential, while Ferrari will have plenty to consider after Hamilton and Leclerc finished fourth and fifth.
For Verstappen, however, it was a weekend to forget in front of his home crowd.
With the Formula 1 season continuing to develop, the championship battle is becoming increasingly fascinating.
