Here is the sport blog for end of June 2021.

Hello and welcome to the sports blog for June 2021. In this blog we will look at the sports that we have covered along with my own views. We will then tell you what we will cover next month.

 




Euro 2020

The group stages are over now with Turkey, Finland, Russia, North

Macedonia, Scotland, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary all eliminated. The

Round of 16 are also over with Wales, Austria, Netherlands, Portugal,

Croatia and France all eliminated It was a big shock with Netherlands

and France being eliminated.



2021 Summer Transfer Window

The Summer Transfer window officially opened on 9th June but due to

the Euro's no big deals have been announced yet but there have been

some transfers made. I expect the majority of transfers do be made

after the Euro's are over.


Football News

Carlo Ancelotti as left as Everton manager to become the new Real

Madrid manager. New managers have been confirmed at some clubs

throughout the Leagues. The 2021/22 Premier League fixtures have been released.

 

Formula 1

The Singapore Grand Prix has been cancelled for this year. Sergio

Perez won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Max Verstappen won the French F1

Grand Prix. Max Verstappen won the Styrian Grand Prix.












 

WWE

WWE released several superstars including Braun Strowman, Ruby Riott, Lana, Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy and Santana Garrett. They held 2 PPV’s this month the first was WWE NXT TakeOver In Your House which was very good and the second was WWE Hell in a Cell which was ok. Samoa Joe has returned to WWE NXT. They are now announcing matches for their next PPV WWE Money in the Bank next month where they will have fans back. WWE have released more superstars including Bollywood Boys, Killian Dain, August Gray, Arturo Ruas, Marina Shafir, Tino Sabbatelli, Curt Stallion, Chase Parker, Matt Martel, Ariya Daivari, Tony Nese, Tyler Breeze and Fandango.

 

All Elite Wrestling (AEW)

AEW have signed former WWE superstar Andrade. They have continued with

their weekly shows. They have been planning for going back to live

shows and their next PPV.
