Bonnie Tyler's Funeral to Be Broadcast Online to Fans Around the World

Fans around the world will have the opportunity to say goodbye to one of Wales' most iconic musical stars as the celebration of life service for Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler is set to be broadcast online.

Tyler, whose unmistakable voice made her an international star, died unexpectedly on 8 July at the age of 75 while in hospital in Portugal.

Her family said she died "as a result of the illness that she was being treated for".

The service, which will be attended by family and invited guests, is due to take place at Swansea Minster in Swansea on 17 August. The ceremony will be live-streamed through the singer's official website, allowing fans from Wales and across the world to take part in the farewell.

Fans will also be able to watch the service on television screens outside the church.

A final journey through South Wales

Following the service, Bonnie Tyler's cortege will travel to her hometown of Skewen in Neath Port Talbot.

The cortege is expected to travel through the village at approximately 13:20 BST, giving local people the opportunity to pay their respects.

There will also be an opportunity for fans and members of the public to say goodbye earlier in the week.

Tyler's coffin is due to be brought to her home in Mumbles on 15 August at approximately 15:30 BST. Members of the public have been invited to line Newton Road from around 15:15 to pay their respects as the cortege arrives.
