Terry Begley's views on the European Super League.
It has been announced of a breakaway European Super League which 12
clubs have signed up to including the top 6 English teams 3 Spanish
teams and 3 Italian teams. I don’t get how they can call it a Super
League with the teams included. The teams who have signed up to the
Super League so far are Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool,
Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus,
Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Barcelona. Also they have announced
Florentino Perez as the President he seems to be the main person
behind this crap along with Joel Glazer and Ed Woodward the people who
know nothing about football and don’t care accept for making as much
money as they can.
All the clubs are owned by foreign owners who only care about money
and they are proving this as they have not consulted any of the fans
or anybody involved within the teams. I also blame the FA and Premier
League for this as they allowed all these foreigners to buy the
British clubs.
This Super League will make all the owners a lot more money it will
have no promotions and no relegations just like the American football
rubbish. I also don’t get how they have done this behind everybody’s
back including UEFA, FIFA and their own football leagues. They want
this Super League but want to remain in their domestic leagues as
well. I don’t see how they can create this Super League and remain in
their own domestic leagues also they already complain there is to many
games to play.
This is a load of crap which I don’t want and fans of all the teams
involved don’t want also the greats like Sir Alex Ferguson, Gary
Neville, Arsne Wenger and others have all spoken out against this
idea. UEFA, FIFA and the Leagues are talking about throwing the teams
out of all the competitions, leagues and banning the players from also
playing in the European Championships and World Cup. This will destroy
football as we know it especially the Leagues. I am pleased to see the
fans of all the big 6 English clubs joining together to protest
against this.
I am a huge Manchester United fan but I am disgusted at the Glazer
family and Ed Woodward for doing this I have never liked the Glazers
also didn’t want them to buy the club in the first time they have gone
against the fans on everything and now throwing away the history of
our great club.
The politicians have also some out saying they will do everything they
can to stop this crap from happening including the UK Prime Minister
Boris Johnson. Also the EU commission, courts and UK courts will also
stop this from happening.
This is a disgrace to the history of these big clubs and destroying
everything which they have done. I am also glad to see the football
clubs in France, Germany and other countries from not joining it as
well. It is also nice to hear some of the players criticize this
European Super League.
I don’t want this European Super League to go ahead and really don’t
think it will go ahead but we will just have to wait and see.
