The Department for Education has said it is investigating images shared on social media purporting to show 'free school meals' sent to families during lockdown.
It is alleged the food was sent out by a private contractor hired to distribute provisions to pupils being home-schooled during lockdown.
An image, which was widely shared, showed two jacket potatoes, several cheese slices, pasta, one tin of beans, yoghurt and a selection of fruit and vegetables.
According to the post, by user @RoadsideMum, the hamper was offered in lieu of £30-worth of vouchers.
to day Mr Williamson has been busy fronting the Cameras to say how outraged her was to see the photos mean while in Wales there THE STARK CONTRAST BETWEEN FREE SCHOOL MEALS IN ENGLAND AND WALES It is quite shocking to see the different in approaches to Free School meals and how something as giving a Child a Free meal in the day so they can best work and get the most of out of there Education and life.
