Hello and Welcome to Series 4 Episode 8 of Around the world to Day with me Terry D.
Terry Talks about Advent So the holidays are coming and December is and we get to open some chocolate calendars and count down the Days to Christmas. But what if I was tell you Advent doesn’t start on the First of December this year but today the 28th November and we count the Weeks rather than the days to Christmas and that you can’t get to Christmas without going through Advent and Preparing the way to a Journey to a Staple in Bethlehem where a Baby was born and light came into the world!

To-Day is Advent Sunday, what is also called the First Sunday of Advent or First Advent Sunday, among the Western Christian Churches, and is the first day of the liturgical year and the start of the season of Advent.
So Happy New Year to Christians we are about to prepare the way for the birth of Christ on Christmasay.
The First Sunday in Advent
Almighty God, give us grace that we may cast away the works of darkness, and put upon us the armour of light, now in the time of this mortal life, in which thy Son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility; that in the last day, when he shall come again in his glorious Majesty, to judge both the quick and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal; through him who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, now and ever. Amen.
